Description
During 1940 -1941, the Gustloff Werke at Suhl produced the Gerat 239 as a light weight dual purpose weapon for paratroops and mountain troops. The Gebringsflak 38 entered service in 1942 and by February 1945 only 180 were in service. It was used both as an anti aircraft weapon and as an anti tank weapon but the mounting was too light for the gun and accuracy suffered as a result.
