Description
Ka-29 “Helix-B” was a assault-transport carrier-base helicopter design by Russia.The project was started in 1973, used Ka-27 shipborn helicopter as a basis for the project, and the first flight on July 28, 1976, by test pilot E.I.Laryushin. The State acceptance trials were completed in May 1979. Series production started in 1984. Three years later new helicopter was spotted by NATO reconnaissaters abroad large landing ship "Ivan Rogov".
