The F-15 Eagle, a U.S. Air Force fighter jet, remains the world's most powerful air superiority fighter
. It first flew in 1972, was deployed in 1976, and remains a globally recognized fighter jet in active service.
The F-15C is the most widely produced of these aircraft.
Featuring a clipped delta wing and two vertical tails, it is powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 turbofan engines. It boasts high speeds exceeding Mach 2, acceleration, and excellent turning ability. It is
also equipped with an electronic warfare system and can carry a variety of missiles, including the AIM-120 air-to-air missile. It boasts high performance as a fast, highly maneuverable air superiority fighter.
Nevertheless, it has also been deployed for many years to the 18th Wing at Kadena Air Base in Japan.
Some of these aircraft feature nose art, a source of delight for enthusiasts.

This 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit from Platz is highly acclaimed among aircraft modeling enthusiasts.
The model recreates the U.S. Air Force F-15C. It accurately recreates the differences between the F-15C and the Japan Self-Defense Forces aircraft, including the vertical tail.
The aircraft shape and panel lines are rendered to ensure a realistic finish. Attention to detail is also included, with the engine nozzles recreated separately, as well as the detailed landing gear.
The cockpit, including the instrument panel and seat, is recreated with the level of detail you'd expect from a 1/72 scale model, resulting in a truly realistic finish.
The markings are selected from aircraft belonging to the 44th Fighter Squadron, 18th Wing of the U.S. Air Force, which deployed from Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, in 2020. New decals recreate the kill markings used by the MiG-killer and the nose art.
Also included are four markings, two each from the 44th and 67th Fighter Squadrons, which were stationed at Kadena Air Base.
Due to the aging of the aircraft, the Kadena Eagle will be gradually retired starting in 2023, so be sure to add it to your collection.
