Description
With the outbreak of WWII, warships and merchant ships had to deal with the problem of magnetic torpedoes and mines which were attracted to the magnetic field of these ships" hulls. In 1941, the Japanese Imperial Navy implemented the use of degaussing cables for all their warships to prevent further losses by such weapons.
